I know suicide is wrong and not biblical. I know people who commit suicide don't go to heaven. So my question to you is if I happen to mess with the wrong people and get hurt or killed is that considered a sin and do I go to hell?
well, the Bible tells us to not fellowship with unbelievers/the "wrong" crowd, so yes, that is sin (II Cor. 6:14-17 & I Cor. 15:33); can't say that if you die in that setting you would go to hell, but you are definitely in danger in a situation like that. God's mercy & grace play a role in the ultimate decision, which is on God; as well as that person's state of being at the time before they take their last breathe (God awareness, were they able to repent, etc.).
If a person really wants to get saved do you think a church will accept them if she is already pregnant out of wed lock? Will that person have to give a testimony infront of everyone/people who might question her?
Thanks for asking this question. Some churches will, others won't...some church ask you to testify in front of church, but most don't.....it's sad that someone has to ask this question--now, this is a great & relevant question because the church in some ways has failed to show love as it should.

How can a true believer not have any empathy for people and animals? I believe in followings God's Word, but also having respect and a loving nature towards people/animals. I just dont see how Jesus can live in someone & they not be lovable like Him.
The Word speaks about kindness, so yes, this is important. God created animals & Proverbs speaks of not being cruel to animals, so I do believe that a true believer bears the nature of God in that he/she will display kindness to God's creation as appropriate.
Now, that doesn't say that if you butcher animals for eating purposes that you are being cruel, but cruelty to animals just for the heck of it is NOT Godly at all.

how to qualify my statement? By asking you to look at yourself and prior post.. your arguing with an immature child, and stooping to their level of ignorance... come on bro..
there is a reason for answering them, trust me...it's not about stooping to their level, but it's addressing an underlying issue that keeps coming up & the spirit at which it is being relayed to me. i love reading the new testament, i've learned a lot from reading it. but when it's time to read the OT, i get sleepy/bored easily, except for psalms and proverbs. is there an 'easier' way to read it?
well, there are many parts of the OT that are interesting as well, particularly I & II samuel, Joshua, Ruth, etc. Sometimes, you have to read it in smaller pieces when it comes to some of the more tough spots of the OT (like Numbers, Leviticus, I Chronicles, etc.)

On bitterness (pt6): SUBTLY putting down the church/Stockstills with things U say is a red-alert to people that you still appear to be bitter. If U have really let go, then praise God. I just don't see why U would put someone down if you have rlly let go.
are you really still on this? why are you so insistent about your correctness on this issue. Personally, I know for a fact that you are missing it friend--I know that. man, that's interesting...you put so much work into attacking them...for what? do you think this will save more souls? I understand that you and many others may have been hurt or whatever by them (and I can speak on that from personal experience too), but what can we gain from publicly attacking other members of the Body?
I could almost write a book on things that I know but if it's not producing godly fruit & saving souls, it would be a waste of time & ultimately sin.
Brother/sister, the good thing that I took from it was that you haven't made a post since Jan, 2010, so it appears the attacking has stopped some, but your blog could be more useful either: 1) making suggestions or 2) speaking empowerment on issues without calling out names. could be, but truth is that each situation is different...it's important to judge it carefully and look at/discern how well he/she teaches other topics.

Personally, I know Ted Haggard was wrong in what he did, and I stated that clearly, but I also stated that I know personally that the situation was NOT handled in the best way it could have been...in addition, I think that's what led to him just moving away from the submission to the whole process...and I'll just leave it at that...you must follow this a good bit, but only see it to the slant of what you want to see--and that's what's kind of sad to me. I honestly think Ted Haggard didn't do a great job, matter of fact, a terrible job, on Larry King w/ Jennifer Knapp & that other pastor, but he needs to be restored--many have just written him off & left him & his family. But, I'm sure you know more about how the situation was handled, right?

yeah, I think 3 or 4 times is a bit much; divorce is a tough thing, but honestly, people go through tough times, and without healing from the Lord in all areas, a person can repeatedly make mistakes, major & minor ones.
Personally, I don't think a real believer would have to go through periods of consistent failure in this area, but I do think that, for instance, if a person has been an unbeliever for much of their life & gotten divorces before Christ, then those things will be forgiven once they come to Christ.

Should Christians watch shows like Jerry Springer and Maury?? Wouldn't it kind of go against us as a witness?
I don't think so...I know Christians that do, but it's not that it would go against your witness more than it just puts some crap in your mind/spirit usually....I have watched Maury in the past with a family member because i was spending time with them at their house, and I honest have gained a greater compassion for people, but don't really want to see any of the shows again...what I saw was enough--my spirit hates that stuff

Can you write something about homosexuality? I hate to sound cliche but I'm "confused." How does the Bible define homosexuality? Are you gay if you actually commit the act or if you're a virgin but attract to same sex does the Bible also consider you gay?
being anything starts off on the inside--you can be a virgin, but be a fornicator at heart. That's why salvation is so important--because to the world you can be the poster boy/girl for having a clean image, but on the inside, you are still dirty & filthy without Christ (Is. 66:4).
Being "homo" is a sin, not because I think it's awkward or I don't like/prefer it, but God said that it was sin, so that's why it's sin/wrong. Homosexuality through the Bible is simply same-sex likeness (i.e. sexual attraction & action with those of like gender).
I recently heard someone say that Proverbs 31 was referring to more than one woman. But I forgot how they justified this. Have you heard this before? If so, could you elaborate. If not, what do you think about it?
well, Prov. 31, in reference to women, is very general. I don't think (and I am almost 100% certain of this) that this passage addresses any 1 woman directly, but calls women to live at a certain standard. Many people don't realize this, but Prov. 31 also addresses men.
You speak against the sin of homosexuality bec it's in the Bible, but, according to the Bible, Jesus never directly spoke against it. Keep this in mind, many gays commit suicide or are depressed bc of religious oppression from others bec. they're gay.
problem is that homosexuality is addressed in the Bible, both in the Old Testament & the New. Paul addressed it strongly in Romans 1.
I do understand that some ppl take it too far with bashing & such, but truth be told, it's not right--it's very unnatural when you really look at it. Life cannot be produced out of a homosexual union--natural or spiritually.
So, although the method may be unhealthy, consider the message more than the method.

What are some ways to aviod lusting over women in our society today? i'm sure it was a peice of cake to stay pure back in the day when women wore dresses down to theyre toes. but today even in the church girls are showing lots of skin...LOTS!!!!!!!!1
yeah, there is lots of skin being shown today, but it's because of what is promoted through the media & all that. It's honestly quite sad that many ladies are encouraged to dress provocative & show skin to "get a man" and to even show their beauty.
To answer your question, I would do a few things:
1) Pray really hard daily (I Thess. 5:17; James 5:16-18)
2) Avoid BET, MTV, VH1 & those type channels most of the time, if not all. They promote this type of ungodliness.
3) Be careful of the conversations you entertain--conversations create your meditations.
4) Be careful who you hang with...some people carry those "lustful" spirits and you don't want that stuff to rub off on you.
5) Watch out for the internet sites, magazines & other media that you view.
6) Stay in the Word daily--it will empower you & help you in this fight! Because it is most certainly a fight!

Well, I don't think you were wrong, per sea, for deleting him, but you could have hid his postings so that you wouldn't see them....that way, you could maintain a connection to him through facebook (because some ppl take offense to you deleting them).
I would also encourage you to consider sharing your heart with him about how you don't agree with his lifestyle but that you love him & want the best for him. But, as far as deleting him is concerned, I wouldn't bring it up to him unless he brings it up...but pray for him & go as God leads you in regards to this situation.
I wronged someone. I have tried to reach out and apologize. Went to them directly, my letter was returned. Sought the help of a mediator/pastor, a harassment suit was threatened. I still feel helpless, no peace even after seeking God. Suggestion?
I hate that you are in such a situation, but praying is the source of your peace, even if it takes some time to manifest. You have done the things that normally would work, but now you have to pray this thing through--I would use James 5:16-18 as my foundation, and when you pray, do this: 1. pray with passion & fervor; 2. proclaim the results that you are looking for/seeking after (forgiven, closure, etc.); 3. forgive yourself for your mistake & give it completely to God...after that, just praise God in advance for the results you are looking for.

Someone who is my elder has been talking to me lately and i just dont feel like shes right when she says even though you get saved and repent you are still going to hell if you have divorced n remarried for anything other than adultry.....scriptures??
well, that's what the Word appears to say at 1st glance, but here are a few things to consider:
1) is divorce an unpardonable sin? I think not...if you genuinely repent of it, then it's gone, just like any other sin. But, esp for those who get divorce prior to salvation, that sin is definitely in their past.
2) Divorce sometimes has to happen due to adultery, excessive abuse, etc. It's the door to a new start, because the other party refuses to change. (see I Cor. 7)
3) Big or small, people make mistakes; sometimes people are not given enough help to make it as a couple. As a result, their relationship fails. God will not send a person to hell if they have a chance to repent, grow & learn from their mistake.

Well, personally, I believe that in every case, we should really ask the Holy Spirit what we should do for that person. I have at times just passed by people & gave them nothing because the Lord told me not to.
As far as being concerned with what they do with the money, that is a valid concern, but I think when you follow God's voice and/or prompting in your heart, you should just trust that God is leading you correctly. If in doubt, esp. when they are asking for food, go get the food for them (that usually is a good test of the heart).

yes, I do think it's ok to attend other services & cell groups. But, I also think that one of the most important things is to be in direct, consistent fellowship with believers for accountability & fellowship. Why are demons/the devil so present in the hood? Do they like to take over territories more than people? Does it have something to do with the poverty of the people also. Explain in depth PLEASE
Well, because many in the hood have welcomed the devil through doubt, hatred, bitterness, jealousy, etc. One thing people must understand about the devil & demons is that they are parasitic--they feed off of each other...and if you open the door to one & continue to allow that oppression to flow, then it opens the doorway to others...that's why in Mark 5 the man had "Legion"....
So, we must evict the enemy & then watch him flee...from our hood & block.

Honestly, I am with you--and you really effectively can't. People need to know God's forgiveness in such a way that they aren't looking over their shoulder worrying about what others are thinking about their past.
I Cor. 13 says "love....keeps no record of wrongs." Boy, if the church at large did this, how people's hearts would be healed & more people would get delivered. Personally, I normally wouldn't answer this question, but since you wanted to cover a fairly sensitive issue here, I will-->I must warn you though, after this, I am not answering anything else from you or your cohorts because it's crass & truthfully your hearts are not right.
To give you my thoughts, here goes:
1) To say that it's elementary is fine, because at least it's understandable. There's no need for a complex answer when things are fairly simple in this case. Truth is, out of all the people in the Body of Christ, from Bethany to beyond, the ONLY PEOPLE that I have ever been attacked by, questioned by or whatever you want to call it are a few people from that group. It's sad--WE ARE BROTHERS & SISTERS IN CHRIST, but some of you (& notice I said "some" because I have a few real friends in 220 that I like, trust, etc.) are just plain stupid, religious & down-right cold-hearted.
2) I have thoroughly enjoyed my 12.5 years thus far--I have learned a ton, have grown a lot & have made many quality friendships. Problem is, the few of you that just feel like you have the time to bother/antagonize/etc. someone who goes to your church & who you obviously know to some degree. What gives? what's the issue? where is YOUR PROBLEM? AND WHY do you choose to bring it/them out here instead of with me in person?
3) There is A BIG DIFFERENCE between bitterness & disagreement with a few people, a principle or an issue/set of issues. Personally, I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that I am not bitter...I just don't agree with stuff like this, along with some things that have happened and some things that continue to happen. You CAN BE in an organization & disagree with some things & still be an active, functioning part of the organization. It happens in churches, job sites, sports teams, etc. Why is it that someone has to be bitter because they disagree or dislike something? It's truly possible to love, disagree & not be bitter...man, the past is the past. I have my preferences in all areas of my life, and through my experience, especially in this area, I have learned a great deal about what to do & what not to do.
4) who ever you are--I love you with the love of the Lord. You bother me, you & these others have upset me, but I love you anyway. So, if you don't mind, these questions & comments aren't helping anyone...so, please either keep them to yourself(ves) or come talk to me personally, face-to-face. Thanks....

if God already know's who ends up in heaven and hell then what's the point? It makes my head hurt thinking about it. Like he knows which way I'll chose, so do i have have a choice?
Although God knows, because He operates outside of time, He still is God in that He loves, but doesn't hinder our free will--He may influence our free will due to the prayers/intercession of others, but overall, God knows, but still is here for us, functioning in the NOW.
God see things so much different from us (Is. 55:6-10), so don't get caught up in trying to look at this type stuff from His angle...focus on getting right/being right & staying right with HIm so that you are MOST CERTAINLY in that # my friend.

there is some truth to that, because God does at times judge areas or regions based on the prominent sin; but, because we are under a time of grace, God is really wanting to give as many ppl a chance to repent as possible (II Pet. 3:8-9).

Well, the temptation for divorce is a reasonable thought naturally, BUT you must defeat that thought. The devil wants to destroy your home & family life--but you must must must press on/forward.
here's what I would do:
1) Pray for 3-7 days & spend 50% to 100% more time really pressing in to the Lord. read & meditate on James 5:16-18, Psalms 37:4 & I Thess. 5:17. In that time, ask God to give you wisdom on what to say, when to say & how to say it to your husband.
2) Determine in your heart that you want to save your marriage. God "hates" divorce & we should strive to do so as well.
3) After spending time in prayer, you & your husband need to sit down & talk about how you feel about this situation from your heart. Tell him that you want to save the marriage but this is really hurting you.
4) Ask your husband if you & him could pray together each morning & night for a few moments/minutes.
5) You & your husband find a weekend to get away & just be alone. Use this time to relax, get away, talk with each other, etc.

well, I think God can, but I don't think that it's a customary thing. God can do whatever He wants, but this is something that I believe is a very rare thing, as it can be unsafe.
I know of couples who have gotten married after only 5-8 months of dating, and those couples are still married for 15+ years & loving each other, but many don't have that kind of faith and/or character.

Christianity is actually the 1st religion because it was here 4rm the beginning; now, you may not think about it this way, but it's true...it started off with Judiasm, but then Christ came. The only thing to readjust thinking on is that Jesus said "before Abraham was, I AM." This tells us that Christianity was before all else, because even before creation, God saw the fall of Adam & the need for a Savior. So, Christ has always been & was a part of God's redemptive plan all along. So, Christianity, my friend, is actually older than any other religion.
Do you think that masturbation is truly a sin? Where in the bible does it actually say that? Also, what about cursing? Curse words are not outlined in the bible.
masturbation is sex with yourself & that's ungodly. It's also an avenue that perpetuates lust, because usually, although you are pleasuring yourself, thoughts about someone else are roaming through the mind--this is fantasy & it's wrong.
Cursing is addressed in James 3; also I Thess. 5:22 speaks of avoiding the appearance of evil. Cursing is a poor witness & would cause people to lose respect for your Christianity.
How can I "humble myself"? I often find myself putting down others and exalting myself. I walk with my arms really far out as if I had muscles...but i don't.
like I said in the previous answer, you humble yourself by simply getting with God privately & walking in dependence & reliance on Him.
I go to a mixed church black and white! I love how the pastor brings god's word forth!But for praise and worship they only play black gospel songs!I'm on the praise team there and I know god want's to take our praise n worship to another level! smh?

Through out my life I have been taken advantage of (raped)a few time and I find it hard to not only trust but give myself sexually to my husband...What could I do to get over this barrier so to speak?
Sorry for taking some time to answer this, but wanted to pray & answer when the time was right...
I pray that God would heal you mightily & revolutionize your life through the power of the blood of Jesus!!!
There is no cookie-cutter answer to this issue, but I believe the Word of God gives us answers & solutions even to critical situations.
Here are some things to do to get over this barrier:
1) Exert yourself more in prayer & ask God to heal your heart & help you trust more to those who need/deserve your trust but also ask Him to guard & protect you from people who may not be so trustworthy & could/would burn you down the road.
2) Talk with your husband openly & ask him to pray with you & to be patient with you as you come out of this. Remind him that this is more traumatic than you can understand, but that you are making an effort to come out completely (this way, you communicate to him what the problem is & help him understand you are on the path to coming out & giving yourself to him completely).
3) Ask God to show you who to trust, and start doing small things to invest trust into those relationships. Even test people by giving them small bits of information or something like that, and do it in a way where you can see if they keep it or divulge it...or just let God speak to you through times of prayer & reflection and see who He directs you to.
4) Find ways to spend more non-sexual time with your husband (if that is possible) and do stuff together like exercise, have chats, sit & watch tv, discuss interests/hobbies, etc. Some ppl get so busy with work, kids, etc. (not sure where you are) and fail to really invest time needed to properly build trust, even in a marriage.

How do I work on being more humble? I hate asking for anything, but there are those times when we all need some help and I have a hard time asking for help when I need it.
well, submitting to God completely is the 1st step to humility, because humanity is geared towards self-dependence/self-reliance. So, once you do that, then you can start from there.
After that, pray for revelation on humility, but you don't have to ask for it, because the Bible commands us to be humble, it doesn't tell us to pray for humility. To be humble, we must 1st know what humility is--humility is total reliance on God for everything. So, that's something that you & I have to just do--we have to work to rely completely on God, because I flesh wants to depend upon self.
How does God look has anyone ever seen Him?
Well, check out Ezekiel 1 & Revelation 1 & 12....should give some good answers on it.

I personally don't believe God would do this because of Psalms 37:4, along with the fact that having a wife & kids is a Godly desire that He puts in there (Gen. 1:28)...it's more selfless than people realize--marriage & raising children requires death to self.
But, if He wanted me to go without, I would have to die to myself & do without....might be frustrated at first, but I would get over it.

I think this is a very interesting question simply because I have heard of situations where this has happened & I have also heard of situations where the opposite happens--no involvement from leadership...and I think that both extremes are WRONG.
Leaders/pastors should never have the right to dictate the actions of any believer, because Jesus is Lord, NOT pastors or leaders. BUT, at the same time, our pastors & leaders should have input in our lives & decisions, because we do need godly counsel. They shouldn't be so independent of us that they say nothing at all.
So, to answer your question, it is NOT RIGHT for a leader to require you to ask them for approval in a relationship, because you should have enough relationships with the Holy Spirit to make right decisions--that's what they are there to help you perfect. Jesus should be "running" your life as Lord, not a person.

Well, pray that God would open the pastor & worship leader's eyes...that's the only thing you can do--otherwise, you either sing or get out of the praise team.

well, the best thing you can tell them is that the same God that they say they believe in (if they believe in the God of the Bible) is the same God who said the devil exists & the demons believe in God.

Well, to be honest, because I don't know the details of the situation, I can't tell you why he and/or his pastor feel like he can't get his life together and be with you at the same time.
Here are my thoughts though based on what I hear, sense & feel from you:
1) "get his life together" can really speak about many things--it can relate to him & his finances, his devotion to God, his level of balance in all things, and even his sexuality. Anything in those areas that is out-of-priority can results in not maximizing who he is...which could call for a break in the relationship.
2) Your ex-bf may have problems that go deeper than what you know; so, although you may feel good about everything, the godly counsel in his life may see something that you don't see.
3) Him still calling you may not be the best, but most good relationships are built on a good friendship, which may be the reason why he still calls. If you are having trouble dealing with that emotionally (i.e. him calling but ya'll not being together), then tell him that & ask for space.
4) Pray & ask God if this is the person for you; and if it is, ask Him to guide you guys back together. Be patient, persist in prayer & use this time to draw closer to the Lord. Because truthfully, there is no need to be in a relationship where you are just being bf & gf but there is no real pursuit of marriage between the 2.
5) Pray that this is the best way, because sometimes, Christians can get "over-zealous" and employ methods that may be going beyond the call of duty but are not requirements of the Lord. And sometimes, pastors/leaders push these agendas that are such & so but did not consult them with the Holy Spirit's specific counsel on the situation. So, even though you don't understand & even though you may not agree, pray that, if this above is the case, that God, in His timing, would correct the situation supernaturally.

I don't think it right.....I don't like it & I don't think it's Biblical either. If Adam & Eve covered up after they sinned--in the midst of the fact that they were used to being naked, all mankind should too.
