well, he will reap some things in his marriage & life for doing some ungodly like this, but eventually he will get past it if he truly repents & both he & his new wife choose the right path...David had to endure hardships due to his adulterous affair w/ Bathsheba via his own son Absalom, but eventually he overcame it because he remained faithful to the Lord (II Sam. 11-19)
